Vincent van Gogh Foundation
The Vincent van Gogh Foundation has owned the core collection of the Van Gogh Museum since 1962. It also contributes to various projects and exhibitions within the museum. For example, the Vincent van Gogh Foundation has contributed to the English translation of the biography of Jo Van Gogh-Bonger and the digital platform Van Gogh Worldwide. The exhibition Choosing Vincent (10 February - 10 April 2023) was made possible in part with the Foundation's support.

Founded in 1888, Japan’s largest indemnity insurance firm expanded operations into Europe in 1995. Support from Sompo Japan contributed to the realisation of our new Entrance Hall (designed by Kisho Kurokawa Architect & Associates) in September 2015.
Ministry of Education, Culture and Science
The Van Gogh Museum receives an annual subsidy from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
