Drawing on the educational experience of the Van Gogh Museum and the global reach of DHL, the partners will work together over the next three years towards the shared ambition of making a positive impact on the lives of new generations around the world through Van Gogh’s masterpieces.
Educational impact
Both companies value employability and education. As part of its sustainability roadmap, Deutsche Post DHL Group invests 1 percent of the Group’s net profits in social impact initiatives each year.
Through its GoTeach program, DHL supports children and young people by providing the building blocks for better employment opportunities. The Van Gogh Museum is known for its educational impact, developing interactive lessons and teaching resources for primary and secondary schools for decades.
This knowledge and experience will come together in the educational programme Heart for Art.
Heart for Art programme
The DHL x Van Gogh Museum Heart for Art educational programme is developed especially for children with no or limited access to art education. Teachers are trained by experienced Van Gogh Museum educators in special sessions – either on location or online – and will share the acquired knowledge with their colleagues.
A Van Gogh Museum Edition – a 3D, high-quality reproduction of a Van Gogh artwork – is delivered to each participating school to help bring the lessons to life. DHL will provide full service shipping and logistics coordination of the Van Gogh Museum Edition and all necessary teaching materials.
In 2022 and 2023, the programme has been launched in five large American cities, and expanded to Latin America in early 2024.
