The Van Gogh Museum and Rapha – one of the world’s most distinctive cycling clothing brands – are launching a unique capsule collection. The design team at Rapha have united details from a number of Vincent van Gogh’s works in a contemporary design, incorporating them in a jersey, technical t-shirt, musette, socks and cap.
Rapha x Van Gogh Museum
The Van Gogh Museum and cycling clothing brand Rapha launch a capsule collection inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh.
The collection is inspired by Van Gogh’s painting The Yellow House (1888), which depicts the location in Arles where Vincent hoped to live and work with like-minded artists.
Club feeling
At The Yellow House in Arles, which Van Gogh immortalized in 1888 in one of his most famous paintings, Vincent found a place where he could invite other artists to paint together and inspire each other. It is for good reason that this work symbolizes the new capsule collection.
The design also features details from seven other works by Vincent van Gogh, including The Pink Peach Tree (1888), Field with Irises near Arles (1888) and Butterflies and Poppies (1889).
The Van Gogh Museum and Rapha both recognize the importance of offering people a place to meet and be inspired. At the Rapha Clubhouses, open in cities all around the world, a shared love of cycling is at the heart of a tight-knit community that encourages and inspires.

The items in the capsule collection are available at the Rapha Clubhouse in Amsterdam. The musette, caps and socks are also available in the Van Gogh Museum webshop.
