The annual Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards (The B&LLAs) reward companies and organisations for excellence in product innovation, brand licensing management and retail. This is the second consecutive year that the Van Gogh Museum has been awarded a B&LLA.
Van Gogh Museum Wins Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Award for Sunflower Pop Perfume
The Van Gogh Museum has been awarded a Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Award in the Best Brand Licensed Health & Beauty Product or Range category at a ceremony held in London. This year’s award is for the perfume Sunflower Pop, which the museum developed in collaboration with Floral Street Fragrances.
Sunflower Pop
The Van Gogh Museum and sustainable British beauty brand Floral Street won the B&LLA for Sunflower Pop, a perfume inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s world-famous work Sunflowers. The perfume was launched worldwide in August 2021. The partnership brings the optimism of the masterpiece from the Van Gogh Museum collection to life in a sustainable, vibrant fragrance with citrus and fruit tones, presented in reusable, biodegradable packaging.
This summer, Floral Street and the Van Gogh Museum follow Sunflower Pop by launching a new ‘home collection’. The collaboration between the Van Gogh Museum and Floral Street was secured by Licensing Link Europe, the company that oversees the museum’s licensing partnerships in Great Britain and Ireland.
Marijn Veraart, licensing manager, Van Gogh Museum;
‘We are delighted and honoured to have won the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing award in the Best Brand Licensed Health & Beauty Product or Range category. The unique Sunflower Pop scent offers a new way to experience the life and work of Vincent van Gogh. We would therefore like to thank Floral Street and Licensing Link for this great collaboration where the beauty of art and fragrance and sustainability meet.’
Michelle Feeney, founder & CEO Floral Street Fragrances:
'Finally, the world has woken up to the need to do things differently! We are thrilled to have been recognised for our authentic partnership with the Van Gogh Museum that supports a more positive future. We have combined the inspiration from a past master painter with the present talent of a master perfumer in our modern, clean fragrance.'
