Processing Time
The Van Gogh Museum carefully considers each loan request in order to confirm that all requirements are met. Please submit your request at least nine months before the exhibition opening date. This time is required to consider, review, arrange and plan the availability of the requested artwork(s).
Loan requests submitted less than nine months in advance will not be processed.
Requirements
Please include the following information as part of your loan request:
- Synopsis of the exhibition
- Exhibition dates and the location(s)
- Requested work(s)
- Contact information and person
Once your loan request has been received, you’ll receive a confirmation of your application. The request will be reviewed by the Curatorial Department and Collection Management Department.
If the requested works are available and in good condition, you will receive a copy of the Terms & Conditions for a loan. Finally, the following information will need to be submitted and reviewed to complete the assessment:
- Facilities Report (AAM format)
- Climate Readings
The average loan request assessment will require five to nine months to complete. If the loan is not available or if the applicant cannot meet the requirements, the request may be declined. In this case you will be informed as soon as possible.
