About the collaboration
The BE@RBRICK designs are inspired by the artworks in which Van Gogh reveals his passion for Japanese art. Van Gogh was a great admirer of Japanese art. At the end of 1887, he made three paintings based on the prints by the Japanese artists Hiroshige and Eisen.
More than 130 years after his death, Vincent van Gogh and his artworks still inspire designers, artists and fans all around the world.
The collaboration with BE@RBRICK allows the Van Gogh Museum to introduce the work of Vincent van Gogh to a devoted group of collectors with a love of aesthetics and quality. BE@RBRICKs are enjoying huge popularity, for example in hip-hop and streetwear culture.
The first three BE@RBRICK limited editions were popular all around the world, and sold out in just a few days.
