In the upcoming weeks, the final phase of comprehensive research into the condition of the work will be completed. The painting will also be restored in order to ensure that it is preserved for future generations in the best possible manner.
Sunflowers will go back on display at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam on Friday 22 February.
