The patterns selected for the ukuleles are based on two representative works by Vincent Van Gogh: Wheatfield with Crows and Almond Blossom. These two paintings are part of the permanent collection of the Van Gogh Museum.
TOM x Van Gogh Museum
As the first musical instrument brand in the world to enter into a partnership with the Van Gogh Museum, TOM has launched two beautifully decorated ukuleles.
About the collaboration
Music is an important part of the arts and, like painting, it embodies the artist's emotions. The disciplines differ in terms of the mediums used.
The high quality of the ukuleles makes for beautiful music and the addition of Van Gogh’s paintings gives them a visually artistic appearance.
About TOM
Founded in 2011, TOM is one of the oldest ukulele design and sales brands in China. In the beginning, the brand was mainly sold to Thailand, Taiwan and other Southeast Asian countries and regions. While the brand was advancing into the international market, a ukulele boom started in mainland China, and the TOM brand was the first to expand its reach to the Chinese market. After continuous efforts and development, TOM has become a well-known brand in the Chinese ukulele market.
When the brand was first established, it did not have its own factory, and its initial development model involved cooperation with domestic factories in China to mutually benefit production and sales. This model laid the foundation for the early development of TOM, but its limitations were that Chinese domestic manufacturers gradually failed to meet the growing demand for products and the increasingly stringent quality requirements of TOM.
In 2013, the TOM brand invested in its own factory in Guangdong, China’s high-end guitar production base. This was a new start that laid a solid foundation for its future development. The TOM team has always believed that every difficulty will create a meaningful transformation and that the brand will never stop ‘creating’.
