As an intern for Project China, you will be a part of the B2B and e-commerce teams. You’ll be working at the heart of the organisation and collaborating with both B2B and e-commerce staff.
We would like to place the Van Gogh Museum firmly on the map with regard to mainland China. Our goal is to make our licenced merchandise economically even more successful within a period of two years. We would love for you to help us find new partners and proposals, and your ideas and efforts will be encouraged and facilitated in return. You’ll be working in highly motivated teams, where you’ll have plenty of opportunity to learn from your colleagues.
What will you be doing?
- Managing the external customer service of our WeChat Mini Program partner;
- Supporting communications (telcos, e-mail, meetings);
- Proactively searching for new potential partners and partnerships;
- Building connections with clicks and bricks, both in The Netherlands and in China;
- Identifying and reporting relevant trends and developments in China;
- Supporting the managers in their daily contact (telco/e-mail/meetings) with their Chinese counterparts, for instance by helping to think about and develop new concepts;
- Working in the B2B and e-commerce departments.
Who are you?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious intern who matches the following profile:
- You speak fluent Chinese;
- MBO/HBO/WO (higher education) working/intellectual level, preferably in the fields of commercial economics and marketing;
- You are able to participate in this internship as part of your current study programme;
- You have an affinity with our licenced products;
- You think in terms of opportunities and have a healthy dose of stubbornness;
- You are a fast and eager learner and would love to develop yourself within our organisation;
- You’re entrepreneurial, result-oriented and a team player;
- Numerical and analytical thinking is a plus;
- You have the ability and resources to work remotely as well;
- You have a sense of humour.
What can we offer you?
- A gross compensation of € 450,- a month (on the basis of a 36-hour working week);
- An iPhone and laptop, with the option to work partially remote;
