Tickets and visiting with a companion
Planning a museum visit? Book tickets online so you don't miss out. Visitors who are unable to navigate their way through the museum independently are permitted to bring a companion with them for free. The companion’s ticket includes a free multimedia guide. You can book the free companion’s ticket online.
A disabled parking space is located on Paulus Potterstraat (number 7, in front of the museum), in addition to a dedicated drop-off/pick-up space for disabled visitors.
Visitors using wheelchairs can either use the main entrance on Museumplein or the entrance at Paulus Potterstraat 7. If you are planning on visiting the permanent exhibition, the Paulus Potterstraat entrance is the most convenient.
Toilets and lifts
Adapted toilets are located on the ground floor of the museum. All lifts and facilities are featured on a floor plan that is available from the Information Desks at the museum.
Loan wheelchairs and seats
Several loan wheelchairs are available at the cloakroom. We recommend reserving a wheelchair in advance by emailing your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Do you need help when using a wheelchair? We can offer assistance. Please email your request at least two weeks prior to your visit, to the 'bezoekersservice' email adress.
The museum also has foldable seats for visitors who are unable to stand for lengthy periods. These seats are available from the Information Desk in the Entrance Hall. There is no need to reserve a foldable seat.
The Van Gogh Museum is dedicated to ensuring accessibility for all of its visitors. If you cannot find the information you require or would like to ask a question, please contact us by sending an email to email@example.com or calling +31 (0)20 570 5200.
