The construction of the new entrance building of the Van Gogh Museum is on track.
Director Axel Rüger:
“I'm pleased that the construction of the spectacular new entrance at the Museumplein in Amsterdam is proceeding satisfactorily. We have therefore been able to take the decision today that the new entrance building will be opened to our public in the second week of September 2015.”
“This new entrance, improved logistics and a more spacious service area will thus enable us to receive more visitors even better. Moreover, our museum will then be fully in line with all the surrounding cultural institutions that also have their entrances on the side of the Museumplein. During the final stage of the construction, the Van Gogh Museum will remain open to the public via the Paulus Potterstraat entrance.”
