The measures to reduce the spread of coronavirus affect us all. Due to the closure and the restricted visitor numbers during reopening, the museum is missing out on crucial income. With just a small donation, you can support us. Every little bit really does help.
The Van Gogh Museum generates 89% of its own income and is heavily reliant on proceeds from ticket sales. Every year, millions of people from the Netherlands and all around the world visit the museum to come face-to-face with the artworks that so deeply inspire them. Unfortunately the situation is very different this year, which greatly affects the museum.
A unique museum
During the past 47 years, the Van Gogh Museum has earned international renown and recognition. We are home to the world’s largest collection of Vincent van Gogh’s paintings, drawings and letters.
The museum works tirelessly every day, to make the collection accessible to everybody. We conduct pioneering research, curate world-famous exhibitions and – through our educational programmes – ensure that everyone has the opportunity to visit the museum, irrespective of age, background, physical or visual disabilities.
Words of comfort
It is precisely in these uncertain times that we find comfort in Vincent’s words and artworks. Will you help us to be able to continue to share his legacy with as many people as possible? With just a small donation, you can support us. Every donation really does help.
